The handful of cheese-making companies that operates in Maine has combined with farmers who raise dairy stock to create the state's first Cheese Guild.

The Maine Cheese Guild's mission is to support and encourage the Maine cheese-making community by developing a collective voice to promote Maine cheese and cheese makers, educate cheese makers and consumers, coordinate resources and share the joy and art of regional cheeses.
