(Kentucky Kernel) (U-WIRE) LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Interracial dating is
an integral part of race-relation discussions, said University of
Kentucky students at a forum Wednesday night.
Students explored topics surrounding interracial dating and race relations
at an event sponsored by Pi Beta Psi sorority and the Alpha Phi Alpha
fraternity.
"We feel this issue is very pertinent to our campus right now," said
Julia Whitten, president of Pi Beta Psi. "These two groups are trying
to break down walls."
Whitten said talks were needed to soothe UK's racially divided campus.
