Argentina's Mariano Zabaleta upset fifth-seeded Rainer Schuettler
of Germany 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 Wednesday in the second round of the Franklin
Templeton Tennis Classic.
Zabaleta has reached the quarterfinals in four of six tournaments
this year.
"I worked hard in December," Zabaleta said. "I feel a lot of confidence.
I keep playing my game. I keep getting better."
Zabaleta is 2-1 lifetime against Schuettler, a finalist this year
at the Australian Open.
Just three seeded players remain in the field, including No. 1 Lleyton
Hewitt of Australia.
