Dateline: RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil Murder and a shoot-out continued to shake Rio de Janeiro as the ministers of justice and defense were set to meet with Rio state's governor Saturday about measures to fight the drug gang-related violence.

Police inspector Jose Antonio Correia was found shot dead in a northern Rio district early Saturday when an unknown number of gunmen stole his car, police said. Correia was an aide to Rio's police chief, Alvaro Lins.

In an unrelated event late Friday, three police officers were wounded in a shootout with alleged drug traffickers near a northern Rio slum, police said.
