Russia's arms export agency on Monday denied any role in the sale
of sensitive military equipment to Iraq _ following U.S. allegations
that Russian companies sold signals jamming equipment and anti-tank
missiles to the Saddam Hussein regime in violation of U.N. sanctions.
The arms agency, Rosoboronexport, "100 percent definitely had nothing
to do with any sales and we have no information that such sales took
place," an agency spokesman said. Rosoboronexport is the sole state
intermediary for Russian military exports and imports.
