THE Chicken Rice Shop, popular for its Hainanese chicken rice, expects to venture abroad in the next two to three years. Its managing director Wong Cheng Gaik (pic) said TCRS Restaurants Sdn Bhd, which operates The Chicken Rice Shop chain, has received enquiries from as far as the US, UK and West Asia. "Now we are in the stage of setting up our infrastructure to support the international venture. We expect to go (abroad) in the next couple of years," Wong told Business Times in an interview. She added that enquiries mostly came from tourists who had patronised the outlet in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. Even Chinese tourists have shown interest in The Chicken ...
