President George W. Bush left Monday for a summit in Northern Ireland
with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, where they are expected to
tackle three tough conflicts: in Iraq, Northern Ireland and between
Israel and the Palestinians.
Bomb threats forced police to shut down a Belfast airport and a major
highway hours before Bush was expected to arrive.
Explosives experts used remote-controlled robots to blast apart a
suspicious package discovered by police beneath an overpass of a highway.
Police couldn't immediately confirm whether the package contained
explosives.
