NSW: Iemma promises more accurate waiting list figures
SYDNEY, April 30 AAP - Hospital waiting lists will be more accurate
under changes to
data collection announced today by NSW Health Minister Morris Iemma.
Mr Iemma said a review of data from 14 public hospitals between
January and March found
five of them had misrepresented their waiting list data.
"(These were) Prince of Wales, Bankstown, St George, St Vincents
and Sydney Hospital,"
he told parliament today.
But new measures to be introduced immediately would ensure confidence
in waiting list
figures, he said.
