Golf: Webb shakes final round blues

KINGSMILL, Virginia, May 5 AAP - Karrie Webb hoped she'd finally put her 2003 LPGA Tour season on track after shrugging off her Sunday blues to finish joint second at the Michelob Light Open here today.

After a couple of serious final-day slumps when in contention this year, the Queenslander staged a last round surge with a four-under-par 67 that was almost good enough for victory.

She was only denied by South Korea's Grace Park, who showed her ability to cope with the hottest of pressure by holing from 15 feet for par at the last and a one-shot win.
