China Unicom's CDMA Users Exceed 10 Million
HONGKONG, May 14, 2003 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Wang Jianzhou, president
of China Unicom Telecommunications Co., Ltd. (China Unicom), revealed
on May 9 that the company will soon own 10 million CDMA users and
that the company will shortly make an announcement about the issue.
Last year, China Unicom only had 7 million CDMA users. And it has
planned to increase its CDMA users to 13 million within this year.
Therefore, China Unicom has fulfilled 50 of its customer development
target.
In 2002, China Unicom generated an income of RMB 39.48 billion and
