Passaic County may buy only gasoline/electric hybrid cars and small trucks under a resolution to be proposed next month to the Freeholder Board.
If the proposal goes into effect, it would apply to all compact cars and light trucks the county may buy in coming years. It would not apply to heavy trucks, public works vehicles, or cars to be used by the Sheriff's Department or the Prosecutor's Office.
