IRIS Corp Bhd (ICB) has signed an agreement with Nigerian incorporated IRIS Smart Technologies Ltd (ISTL) for a RM246 million Nigerian electronic passport project. The project involves the supply of equipment, services and systems for the implementation of the Nigerian electronic passport.

In a statement to the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, Mesdaq-based ICB said the contract covers the supply of 5.5 million passport substrates to Nigeria over a two-year period. ISTL has signed a similar agreement on May 14 this year with the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs to implement the Nigerian electronic passport solution.
