NSW: Sydney Harbour's Cockatoo Island to get $60m restoration

SYDNEY, May 30 AAP - Sydney Harbour's Cockatoo Island is to be restored under a $60 million plan, federal Minister for the Environment and Heritage David Kemp said today.

The plan is designed to revive the maritime industry on the island' s waterfront and restore many historic buildings and facilities.

Dr Kemp said the move was part of a $115 million plan funded in the recent Federal Budget, to restore seven historic Sydney foreshore ...
