Musical tracks Hank Williams' short career
WASHINGTON, Jun 04, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Country music legend Hank Williams has been dead for 50 years but he is back in the guise of actor Jason Perry as the star of an electric new Off-Broadway musical, "Hank Williams: Lost Highway."
The show at the Little Schubert Theater, a handsome new addition to West 42nd Street's Theater Row, is the culmination of a seven-year journey on the part of Perry since he first attempted an impersonation of Williams. He has been playing Williams longer than Williams, who died in 1953 at the age of 29, was a star.
