Fed: Deegan to lodge appeal to Immigration Department

CANBERRA, June 9 AAP - Adelaide magistrate Brian Deegan will lodge an appeal this week against the Immigration Department's refusal to grant visas to two children whose Indonesian mother was killed in the Bali bombings.

Mr Deegan, whose son Joshua was also killed in last year's Bali attack, wants to bring the children to Australia for two weeks to visit their Iranian father, who is being detained in the Baxter immigration detention centre in South Australia.
