NAIROBI, Jun. 10 (IPS/GIN) -- When Kenya's President Mwai Kibaki opened the new Cooperative Bank House in Nairobi on June 5, fears of terrorism were ever-present. The 26-storey building crumbled during the Aug. 7, 1998 bomb attack at the adjacent American embassy that killed about 250 people. Close to 5,000 others sustained serious injuries.
