Vic: Stott Despoja says she is happy to be out of spotlight

MELBOURNE, June 13 AAP - Former Australian Democrats leader Natasha Stott Despoja - once a ubiquitous media darling - today said she was relieved to be out of the spotlight.

South Australian Senator Stott Despoja, who has kept a low profile after resigning as leader in August following a bitter internal stoush, told a Melbourne women's business breakfast she was happy to be beavering away on the backbench.
