Lousy weather. Determined fans.
That has been the trend so far in the Portland Sea Dogs' 10th season. Through 31 homes games, the Sea Dogs have enjoyed their best ticket sales despite the extended winter in Portland.
Obviously, the major reason for the improved attendance can be summed up in two words: Red Sox.
Since the Sea Dogs became the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, ticket sales have been brisk. A record 2,651 season tickets were sold.
