Dateline: SAO PAULO, Brazil Defender Rolando Schiavi scored the game-winning goal Wednesday as Argentina's Boca Juniors defeated Brazil's Santos 3-1 to claim the Copa Libertadores title.

Boca Juniors _ now a five-time Libertadores winner _ ended the home- and-away final series with an aggregate score of 5-1. The Argentines have now won South America's most important club competition three times in the last four years.

Santos, which was seeking its first major international triumph since the early 1960s, needed to win by a difference of two goals after it lost the first leg 2-0 a week ago in Buenos Aires.
