Wednesday, July 16, 2003 -- Most of the public favors a small cut
in health budgets and backs the Health Ministry's position on the
hospital crisis rather than the Finance Ministry's. These are some
of the results of a Geocartography poll conducted among 500 adults
this week.
Forty-eight percent sided with the Health Ministry, which claims that
additional cuts in the health system will endanger patients. Only
23% sided with the Treasury, which maintains that there is much waste
in the system and that cuts must be made before the ...
