Dateline: LONDON Eating a diet high in fat, especially saturated fat, could double a woman's risk of developing breast cancer, regardless of her weight and total calorie intake, new research suggests.

The theory that high intakes of saturated fat could increase breast cancer risk has been around since the 1970s, but most of the advanced studies so far have found no clear evidence of a link.
