Mark Romanczuk pitched into the seventh inning and Dustin Pedroia
homered as Team USA beat Mexico 10-0 Sunday for its third shutout
in three nights.
Eric Patterson went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Team USA,
which had 14 hits after winning 8-0 Friday and Saturday.
The Americans have won 16 straight games _ including a team-record
nine shutouts _ as they prepare for next month's Pan Am Games. The
U.S. team has beaten Mexico 38 of the last 39 meetings dating to June
1999.
Team USA has outscored Mexico 34-2 in four games this summer, with
the final game of the series set for Monday.
