As Tropical Storm Danny weakened further in the upper Atlantic, forecasters
were keeping an eye on a weather system near the Caribbean that could
strengthen into a tropical storm.
A tropical depression hovering east of the Lesser Antilles could develop
into a tropical storm on Monday, hurricane specialists said. Forecasters
issued a tropical storm warning for Dominica and a tropical storm
watch for St. Lucia.
The storm would be named Tropical Storm Erika if it continued to strengthen.
A hurricane hunter plane would investigate the depression's characteristics
