Cycle: Aust rivals to fight it out for green jersey

SAINT-MAIXENT-LECOLE, France, July 25 AAP - As Paris beckons, a
pattern is emerging
in the battle for one of cycling's highest prizes - the Tour de France
green jersey.
In the past two years, the winner of the prestigious sprint points
competition has
been decided on the Champs Elysees.
This year will be no exception but, instead of one, both protagonists
will be Australians.
Defending champion Robbie McEwen upped the ante on Friday, when
he twice held off rival
Australian sprinter Baden Cooke to wrest back the green jersey on
the 203km 18th stage
