Dateline: DEARBORN, Mich.
Ford Motor Credit Co., the finance arm of Ford Motor Co., said Thursday
that Mike Bannister had been appointed president and chief operating
officer.
Bannister, formerly president of Ford Credit International, will oversee
Ford Credit's U.S. and international operations.
Ford Credit has been without a president and COO since December 2001.
Bannister will report to chairman and CEO Greg Smith.
Bannister joined Ford Credit in 1973 and has held a number of branch
and regional management operating positions in Ford Credit's North
American regions.
