MCI government business threatened
WASHINGTON, Aug 01, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- The federal government wants to bar MCI from any new government contracts.
The decision was a significant new blow to MCI, the nation's second-largest long-distance phone company, the New York Times reported.
It would automatically disqualify the company from bidding on new federal contracts, and probably will lead many states to take similar action against the carrier.
