Leaders of the Episcopal Church meeting in Minneapolis have delayed their vote on whether to approve the first openly gay bishop in the church's history. Gene Robinson was elected to be bishop of the diocese of New Hampshire and was approved yesterday by the House of Deputies. The House of Bishops was supposed to vote today on final approval, but has postponed that now. NPR's Barbara Bradley Hagerty is on a line now from Minneapolis to talk about this.
