TEL AVIV
Stocks fell for a sixth day Monday. The TA-25 Index dropped 1.29 to
397.20, the lowest since May 22.
The index declined 6.3 percent in six days. Thirteen stocks fell and
12 rose. Investors traded NIS 255.1 million in shares.
Bank Leumi shed or 2.8%, to NIS 6.22, for a five-day loss of 12%.
Slumping tax receipts will probably widen Israel's spending gap to
6% of gross domestic product, the Finance Ministry said Monday. That
makes it harder for the economy to recover from two years of recession.
