novel. But in this case, the tale is one of scientific discovery,
how post-traumatic stress disorder was first recognized by doctors
and health officials. According to the National Center for PTSD, nearly
8 percent of adult Americans are now diagnosed with the disorder,
a concept that didn't even exist a quarter ...
