Three British soldiers killed in Basra
BASRA, Iraq, Aug 23, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- An ambush attack killed three British soldiers and seriously wounded another Saturday in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, the BBC reported.
The soldiers' vehicle came under fire from a pick-up truck as they traveled along one of the city's main streets. There was an exchange of fire, followed by an explosion.
