(The Daily Iowan) (U-WIRE) IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Saudi Arabia will be the next Iraq.

The next Iraq, the next Cuba, the next Iran. It will be the next country whose deep diplomatic ties with us are broken -- because an unsustainable relationship that serves only our immediate needs has been forged.

In this case, our own immediate, on-going needs: There's only one country that produces 10 million barrels of oil a day, and there'll only be one for a long time yet, till Iraq's oil fields are rebuilt by Halliburton, Dick Cheney's ex.

Because of that, and because I think we need them for reasons other than oil, we shouldn't sever ties with Saudi Arabia ...
