The Association for Child Psychiatrists and Psychologists (ACPP) of Armenia
sponsored a conference entitled "Natural and Man-Made Disasters and Their
Psychosocial Sequela" at Yerevan State Medical University on November 2,
2001. More than two hundred attendees filled the grand lecture hall at the
medical school to hear presenter from England, the United States and
Armenia discuss research on disasters and their effect on society.
Dr. Maruke Yeghiyan, president of the association, introduced the panel and
