YES YOKO ONO Opens at the Walker Art Center
There is a white ladder with no instructions other than a word in fine
print on the ceiling and a magnifying glass hanging from a chain. Although
you are no longer able to climb the ladder, John Lennon once climbed that
ladder to read the word "yes" on the ceiling and claimed it was that "yes"
that made him stay and fall in love with Yoko Ono, the artist who created
that exhibit. Yes, A hope and optimism through the most adverse times, from
being overshadowed by a man whose career was larger than life to being
afraid to be seen alone in public after he was gone.
