Major League MVP -- Ichiro or Barry?
Ichiro or Barry? That is the question. These two players should win the MVP
award in their respective leagues. But who should be the recipient of the
fictional Major League MVP award? In baseball, this is Armageddon for
critics and sportswriters.
Apples or oranges? A hatchback or SUV? The Beatles or Bob Dylan? Ernest
Hemingway or William Faulkner? And now, Ichiro or Barry? It's tougher to
figure out than a Rubic's Cube, for Blessed Virgin Mary's sake. But it is
our duty to staunchly analyze and pull out our hair on this issue --
because that's what baseball is all about.
