Child Abuse Prevention Agency To Have New Name

A new name. A new logo. A renewed commitment to preventing child abuse and
neglect in Georgia.

For 18 years, the Georgia Council on Child Abuse (GCCA) has been the
state's strongest voice for prevention of child abuse and neglect. In a
move to make that voice even stronger, the organization is changing its
name to Prevent Child Abuse Georgia (PCA Georgia),l effective Tuesday, Oct.
23, 2001.

"Our mission is the prevention of all forms of child abuse and neglect,"
said Sandra P. Alexander, the agency's executive director. "The new
name-Prevent Child Abuse Georgia-is a clear reflection of that mission."
