The dictionary defines poverty as the "the state of one who lacks a usual
or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions." But it
does not place a value judgment on this state of being, it just is.

Being poor, the label applied to those who find themselves in a state of
poverty, has many disadvantages. You do not have access to or the money to
pay for medical care, proper nutrition, appropriate clothing, safe,
adequate housing, advanced education or training, reliable transportation,
or those little extras that make life ...
