The concept of shysters pirating legitimate businesses is not new.
Unscrupulous practitioners have been around for decades in the music, video
and motion picture industries.
Like raptors from above searching for a kill, sly operators have profited -
at the expense of artists and record companies - by illegally duplicating
and selling records and videos.
Although significant, the practice was somewhat manageable in the past,
because pirated reproductions were often inferior to the real thing. When
