Are race relations a reality? It depends on where we are looking and who is
asking the question. While many of our citizens may have thought race
relations was a dead issue, the subject has popped up as never before and
it is the year 2001. What is race relations? Race is defined as "a family,
tribe, people or nation belonging to the same stock." Relations is defined
as "dealings, affairs or attitude or stance which two or more persons or
groups assume toward one another" as described in Webster's Ninth New
Collegiate Dictionary/A Merriam-Webster.
