Number of attendees reflects vibrancy of Reform movement

The most remarkable aspect of the Reform movement's biennial convention may
have been its size and spirit. Last week in Boston, more than 5,000
congregational leaders, lay people, clergy and professionals representing
more than 1100 Reform congregations in North America, gathered to study,
worship, share ideas and confront the challenges and opportunities
synagogues face in the 21st century. Also at the convention were several
hundred youth-group members.

It was an exciting and exhilarating experience.
