Five urban owned businesses received $20,000 business development grants
from Miller Brewing Company's Urban Entrepreneurs Business Grant
Competition (previously known as the Olde English 800 "Making It Real
Business Grant Competition) and recently were honored at a winners'
breakfast reception at Miller Brewing's Corporate Headquarters in
Milwaukee. Miller Brewing Company President John Bowlin, senior brand
manager, Trademark and Business Development, Karen McDowell and a host of
other executives and staff were on hand to personally congratulate the
winners and offered words of guidance as they continue to develop their
businesses.
