Buoyed by the support of aquacultural sector in the government, the
international market for Philippine tiger prawns is likely to remain high,
according to research done by EDL Enterprises in California.
Japan, South Korea and Singapore are among the top countries which import
tiger prawns from the country, according to research.
"Although these countries have their own homegrown tiger prawns, the
succulent taste and relatively big sizes of Philippine prawns have gained a
more potent demand than the others," said Edward Lovely, president of EDL
Enterprises.
With such a large base of market abroad, Lovely added, tiger prawn-farming
