RICHMOND, Va. -- Stop coaxing kids to eat healthy and start cooking
together. If your kids turn up their noses at nutritious meals and vote for
fast food over homemade, you aren't alone. More often in our fast-paced
society, drive-thrus are replacing home cooked meals shared with the
family. However, we might be missing out on more than good nutrition. A
study by the National Center in Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia
University found that sharing family meals together imparts values to
children.
