India Abroad, indiainfo.com in merger deal
India Abroad Publications Inc., the oldest and the largest-selling Indian
newspaper in North America, and premier Internet portal network
indiainfo.com, have announced an in-principle merger agreement aimed at
providing users up-to-date news that is "current and credible."
The merger will be concurrent to a proposed initial public offering (IPO)
of indiainfo.com, it was announced at a joint press conference here on May
9. "This is a marriage between India Abroad's content and indiainfo's
technology. We are marrying the strengths of two institutions," Gopal Raju,
