Andhra Pradesh moves ahead with the click of a button

The three-year-old Twin Cities Network Services office in Hyderabad's
Banjara Hills still inspires awe among local residents who queue up to pay
their electricity, tax and telephone bills.

Take utensils shop owner Ranga Rao, for whom Chief Minister N. Chandrababu
Naidu's first initiative at e-governance has been an eye-opener. Before
TWINS, Rao would queue for long hours outside a ramshackle office on the
outskirts of the city to pay his monthly electricity bill.

"It is very easy for me now. I give my bill and money to that man. He
touches the computer and says it's paid," gushes a wide-eyed Rao.
