Then, again, he is your typical Indian kid in America. Smart. Hardworking.
Ambitious. He values his heritage; his familial ties are strong.
Bobby Jindal, when all's said and done, is an American-born desi.
Forget his high profile. Forget he is the only big shot Indian American in
the George Bush administration - assistant secretary of health and human
services if you please.
Forget also that, five years ago, at an age when your son and mine were
thinking of a career, he was running the $5.6 billion department of health
and hospital in Louisiana.
Forget all that and take him for what he is: a slim, serious 29-year-old,
Catholic now, a bit too ...
