Late last month, Mumbai-based Datamatics - a leading Indian leading
information technology and consultancy organization - sponsored a major
global outsourcing convention in Annapolis, the state capital of Maryland.
The convention, the first by Datamatics, was attended by nearly 100 top
chief information officers, vice-presidents and several Fortune 500
procurement managers, along with government agencies and systems
integrators.
It was described by Datamatics Chairman Dr. Lalit S. Kanodia as an effort
to "preach the mantra of outsourcing and offshoring, position India as the
hub of such activity," and push Datamatics as one of the companies of
