Aboriginal Peoples Network adds some color to tube

WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Native people entered a new era of communications in
1999 with launch of the Aboriginal People's Television Network -- created
and maintained by Native people.
The national television network is beamed into 8 million households across
Canada. It has broadcast 120 hours of programming seven days a week since
it went on the air Sept. 1.
The network is aimed at Native and non-Native audiences with programming
that will interest all viewers. Some of the initial shows included
