The first generation of people of Asian Indian origin has been quite
successful in establishing itself in the new soil of the United States.
Their achievements in the fields of medicine, technology and in other
fields has been phenomenal. Our children have filled up classes at Harvard
and in other outstanding centers of academia.

We have invited our parents, and siblings to come here and share with us
the fruits of our success. The juxtaposition of our future generation and
the past one brings out our barely acknowledged, and yet glaring failure.
Our parents and our children are not able to talk to one another.
