Corporate greed puts profits before people

By JOE WILLIAMS III

It is a new concept, ushered in with recent advances in science and
technology. It was a label heard around the world at the World Trade
Organization protests, the protests in Washington, and also at the
Democratic and Republican party conventions. Corporate greed, what a ring
it has. But, what does it really mean?

It is new; it is recent; and it has everlasting, even deadly, side effects.
Corporate greed has consumed the principles and guidelines of Western
society. It has created a "dog eat dog," world. It has torn asunder the
progressive and radical notion of, "People before profits."
