Last week in Tech Corner we covered digital video cameras including the
Digital 8 camcorder by Sony. This week I would like to go into a little
more detail about the process of digitizing and editing video footage using
your computer.

As I pointed out you don't have to purchase a digital camcorder to create
or edit digital video footage on your computer. Aftermarket USB devices
which allow you to connect an analog video camera to your computer's USB
port can be purchased for around $100.
